Organic intercropping · Organic living mulch for wheat and oat · Durum wheat following intercrops and living mulch · Organic cover crops · Contribution of organic oat to soil fertility and growth of the following crop · Performance of older and new durum vs. common wheat varieties · Soil, seed and foliar amendments for organic production · Grasshoppers-resistence in different crop species · Demonstration of techniques for measuring soil moisture and greenhouse gas emissions in the soil profile · Evaluation of annual forages and cover crops for grazing – yield, nutritive value, soil health

Afternoon Presentations-Indoors:
A discussion of practices that can help or hinder soil productivity · Evaluation of amendments for crop growth and health under drought conditions, salinity and Aphanomyces soil infestation · Prairie Watersheds Climate Program (PWCP) · Adopting new farming methods and procedures through 7 years of drought · Demonstrations of research being done by the Organic Research Program at AAFC-Swift Current
